Default hand guard extenders for r1200GS 2010 model

Have the factory fitted hand guards on the bike but want to raise their height for better protection.

The bike is a 2010 model and as such have the new style of hand guards.

Am struggling to find a source for either new taller guards or add ons which I could attach to originals to give greater height to hand guard,

Does anybody know where I could buy some from?

Thanks

For pre made try Touratech or Wunderlich. Of you can cut up a thick plastic bottle of your choice into the appropriate shape and rivet to your existing guards.

The Touratech spoilers might only fit their handguards, not sure.

Your dealer can't order them? The taller shields are optional.

Asked the dealer the other day but they do not make any taller hand guards other than those which already come with the bike.

Tried Touratech but they don't do any extension kits for the 2010 model yet.

'10 handguard upper sections [large] are part numbers 71607705221 (left) and 71607705222 (right).

'09 handguard upper sections are the same part number. Any touratech handguard part that fits an '09 should also fit the '10.

Exclamation Wunderlich 8110378

I am expecting these extension pieces on Monday......I did call and ask about this being a 2010 bike.....they said it would work.....keep you posted.
I am running with an Aeroflow shield.....this is about as touring as the GSA gets I think

Default Guards installed

extensions installed this morning and took a ride....considerable more coverage for hands....it seems like a good addition

these extensions also cover reservoirs and attach infront of existing substructure. They took about 5 minutes to install. They come in black or gray. not real excited about the slip joint/o-ring connections at the far ends but seems stable. Plastic could have been a gage thicker. Shipping and product $83
Some may not like the look of the extensions on the reservoirs...but it does stop the wind.
Have not had chance to ride in rain to see the run off.
