Default Wet Back

I have cured all my rain issues with the addition of a Aeroflow windshield but after riding in the rain and mud all weekend my wife and I find the rear wheel "rooster tail" spray creates a mess. I had to hose her down after a muddy road adventure.
Wunderlich sells a hugger for $375 which I feel is too expensive. I have played with cutting up a rubber maid tub , attempting to block off the spray.

My question is .....does the back box block out the rear wheel spray.

I have a Wunderlich extension on the rear fender which helps and a BestRest Spraystopper which works a treat!

Thank you for this suggestion. Best Rest seems like a good company with some reasonably priced products (for a change).
