Question Buying 2011 triple black

I'm pretty damn close to making a purchase on a 2011 triple black. My question may seem a bit naive but I'm wondering how much to pay. The bike before tax-license, dock fees, yadda yadda is $18,880.00( which total $2051.70) bringing the total to $21450.20(they added a ca tire tax of $3.50)
I've never bought a new motorcycle brand new from a dealership with cash. I need a good strategy. I've heard mixed info on haggling with BMW. I want to feel good after this purchase not like I was taken for the proverbial ride. How much is a fair price to pay? How do I go about getting the best deal on this bike? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You may have picked the wrong bike to haggle, not sure. If the tripple black is in demand the dealer will hold out for list. At least most BMW dealers won't jack prices up above list.

There is no standard answer to your question. It depends upon the particular dealer. If they are having no problems moving bikes there is no reason for them to haggle on price. If they've got lots of bikes that have been sitting on the floor for quite a while you'll have better luck.

Where you might get some give and play is in accessories. And ask for the first service cost to be thrown in... that can save you $200~$400.

Default Get multi quotes

I bought a new bike once, never again.
I phoned a number of dealers, as well as calling in every one local that i could.
Tell them what you are looking for, and that you are a cash buyer.
Make sure you let them know that you will buy from whoever gives you the best price.
The standard thing is for them to say "let me know what your best price was, and i will match it", which is just lazy.
I saved heaps by pitching one against the other, even getting quotes interstate.
As it turned out i travelled a fair way to pick it up.
Dealers a just lazy, just because "I am a BMW Dealer, thats the price" doesn't wash with me.

Good luck with it, but that make and model, will not give you any leverage, they will charge whatever the book tells them to, a protected species.

If i wholesale my tyres on the same basis, i would go broke in a year.

Getting multi quotes is bogus. Any dealer will figure you out and
you won't even know it. When the market is "on" which is the case
with the GS for new bikes you need find the dealer you have faith
in and find the bike you want and write the check.

My dealer gave me a pretty good deal on my trade-in, nothing on the bike itself and 15% off any accessories/goods I bought that day.

Default Triple Black R1200GS

I bought a new Triple Black GS in Feb and was able to get the dealer to come down in the out the door price. Some dealers will offer accessories or riding gear as an incentive to seal the deal. Good luck, it's a great bike!

Congrats! You'll love the GS.
My only gripes with it are the windshield, small pegs, and small grips.
Grand scheme of things - pretty minor.
I was pretty happy with the stock seat actually but I already put an airhawk on it and love that - saved me getting custom seats for it.

Smile triple black

Mine is coming in a week. 17 850 plus the options. bags etc less 785 discount came to 22 565 (cad$) Good trade-in on my 1200c (2000). = 5100$

I'm having it lowered so can't get package #2 (elect. suspens). plus added HID lights. Didn't take the spoke wheels (saved 300$ that I put on the lights)

I've got butterflies, it's like when I met my wife the first time
