DIY turntable for bike if any one is interested?
I was going to buy one over the net but figured I don't really need to spent $200. What I ended up spending was about $50. I used two sheets of Pollyethalene (not perspex). The supplier cut it to size (400 mm dia) with a 5mm centre hole in each piece for a bolt and flat type nut. Used some silacone spray and it slides just fine. It just so happens that 400 mm is just right as the disks touch the back wheel and is at the right distance for the centre stand. So there you go. The only thing I would add is a 390 mm stainless steel disk to the top with some grippy tape so the weight of the bike distributes a bit more evenly over the Polyethylene. But for the mean time it works fine.
Just thought I'd share.
