Default New member saying Hi and a question

Just traded my R1200RT for an Adventure. In 2008 I did a 15,562 mile Iron Butt Silver ride on the RT so I feel in some small way that I abandon an old friend. But, so far I love the GS. I had a Day Long saddle on the RT and loved it. I am one of the worlds three biggest wimps when it comes to motorcycle saddles so I am thinking of upgrading to the Day Long again. I did a 2 hour ride on the stock Adventure saddle and I know I need to do something different. Most of my riding is long distances and long days. Any suggestions other than the Day Long. Any comments on the Day Long for the Adventure?

Welcome! It sounds like you RT sure treated you well. It's a great road machine but I think you've met your new best friend. I acquired my GSA after riding a KGT and a bunch of Harleys prior to that. By the way, I've changed the seat on every road motorcycle I've owned. As an upholstered furniture manufacturer, I can tell you with some authority that comfort is a very subjective thing. If you like the Russell saddles, I'd go with that. Sargents products have served me very well on several trip across the US and back. Anyway, I'd go with what you know.

Mike
