Default Communication / Radio thoughts

I have a Starcom system off the old bike...semi-sucks for the hard of hearing
(ME). I assume technology has marched on and there may be a better option. the Sena system appear solid, but want some input if possible. We roll two up and communication is an issue. I am hard of hearing and must wear ear bud speakers.
Can I get some comments on this issue.

I have the Sena and love it. I got an additional helmet-back for it (~35, the SMH-A0303) that let me use my earbuds [custom-molded stereo earplugs] with it and it works amazingly well.

Default I've got the Blue Ant bluetooth system

I had to modify the helmet speaker leads to accept a headphone jack. Now I use the earbuds instead of the speakers and can hear clearly at high speed.

The only problem with the blueant system is that the battery only lasts about three hours of chatter. But it's OK in general.

I will switch to a hardwired system if I ever get to a lot of two up riding.

Love the Sena. All you need are a pair of those and a bluetoothed smartphone and you've got phone, GPS, awesome music quality (MP3 and Pandora) and excellent communication. PLENTY of volume too!!

Smile communication

installed a chatterbox GMRS X1, shoei 1100 helmet, works great, kinda funky on the side of helmet no issues though ride with a group of 4-5 riders all have different Gmrs transmitters we agree on a freq/talk group and off we go for the day, biggest is is keeping mic close to lips even with muff on can get some wind sounds, can use all day then plug in at night to charger, like i said no issues so far.
ps range is about a mile in the twistes

Sena, the only way to go. Great volume, easy to sync or connect to other units, picks up the units or phone easily each time, great clarity, great distance, just a great unit.

To be clear, 4 units can communicate together. Those could be on two, three, or four bikes...
