Default Mounting a Radar

I want to mount my passport 9500ix on the new GS...sure of the the best place to locate. I had a nice Pat Walsh designs dash board on the V-strom , but they don't make one for the GS. Can I get some input...I hate stuff mounted to the handlebars.

Default Mounting a Radar

I know this isn't the optimal mounting solution but I just added an electrical connection to my tank bag and put it in there. The Valentine 1 does a pretty good job even though the laser function is negated. With laser, it doesn't matter anyway. The Valentine just lets me know I've been "tagged" and I'm about to meet a police officer. I use a H.A.R.D remote receiver in my helmet and that works just fine, even in Virginia and D.C.

I don't use radar anymore, but when I did I had it mounted here:

The radar detector was connected to the bar that surrounds the instruments using a Ram mount. The LEDs on top of the GPS were connected to the Radar detector.
