Default New guy with questions

I currently have a 2006 Dl1000 Vstrom. I'm looking to possible trade strait across with a guy who has a R1200GS with 64K. He initiated. I'm considering, but was wondering if I need to be concerned over the number of miles on the bike. Oh, I failed to mention that it is a 2007. He says he replaced the final drive and it is in great condition judging by the pictures. My Vstrom has 13K and is in excellent condition with lots of accessories.

Is this a good deal for both of us? I thought I would get some BMW owners perspectives. I have been wanting a GS for a while, just didn't want to mess with selling my bike.

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Scott

Welcome to the forum. 64K is not too many miles, but I'd want to know exactly why the other party wants to trade.

My '05 has about that mileage and I see no reason to change to another bike at this time. Oh, eventually I'll get bored with the bike. If past history is a guide that will happen about 2013 give or take. And the reason for change will be "I want" not "I need".

Default Trade

Thanks for the response, but the guy didn't have anything better to do than to waste my time I guess. He never actually did have any intentions in trading, even though he initiated the whole thing.
