Default Hand control adjustment '11GSA

In an effort to be able to work the turn signals/cancel button on my '11GSA, I readjusted all of the controls. It wasn't what I expected, so I thought I would share.

It seems that the left hand thumb switches are bolted to the bars in a fixed position. So, if you want the left signal button to be further under, you will need to rotate the bars back a little bit. If you need to lower the clutch lever, nipper off the zip ties that hold the wires to the clutch hose. Rotate the clutch lever down, possibly moving it inboard slightly so it clears the switch housing.

The throttle side switches can be rotated under (same zip tie nipper deal), but the locating tab that lines up with the brake lever will be off by quite a few degrees. Slide the brake lever inboard slightly so you can rotate it down enough.

This is all with the hand guards removed, as well as the cover for the throttle side switches.

When I worked in a bicycle shop, we took the time to adjust the bicycle to the customer. Too bad MC dealers don't seem to care. Too bad for them, as they will never see me again...
