I'm new to the forum. I've been lurking just reading and enjoying everyone's information/experiences and decided to join. I'm still saving and trying to learn all I can. I'm leaning to a R12GS. I rode a RT and a GS and feel that the GS does everything that I'm interested in. Sort of a swiss army of bikes to me. I've had lots of Japanese bikes in the past from dirt bikes to cruisers. Never ridden such a large enduro. I was impressed with it's handling and styling. Thanks for all the good info here.

Welcome. From the bikes you've owned, I'd say you're more than ready for the Swiss Army knife of motorcycles. I've been riding since 1964 and enjoyed a bunch of machines of all types. For me, my '09 GSA is the finest motorcycles I've owned to date. I just did all I asked of it last week on a ride from NC to WI and back. I hope you find a way to enjoy one soon.
