Default Bike won' start

Looking for quick solution
My son is stuck 300 Km from home and bike won't start. It is a 2008 F650GS twin. It started and ran a few seconds and quit. Wont start again at all. It cranks over but seems to not get fuel. Un-hooked battery and re-hooked but nothing.
It did this once before but turned key off and on and it started up and ran fine for a month. Now this !!
Has anyone got any quick possibilities?

Default Sorry

Sorry, I can't help you, as of yet. My 09 F650 GS did about the same thing last Sunday. Was 100 miles from my truck, stopped to eat came out and it wouldn't start. It seemed to be a fuel problem, had to ride a Burgman double to get my truck and load my bike. Took it to the BMW dealer yesterday, they were supposed to work on it, but were behind on other work.

I did have time to ride an 09 1200 GS Adventure, what a nice bike. Made me realize that is what I have been missing, and I will be riding one next year.
What smooth ride lots of power and the smoothest shifting bike I have rode for a long time if not ever. Just thinking about shifting and it did and the back road I was on had lots of curves, just like the bike.

You should try the F650 forums. R1200GS is completely different
machine. Good Luck.

Thank You
I was looking for somewhat of an instant response. I realize it was a long shot but I tried. Bike is still sitting there. I wanted to use the 650 forum but I was not a registered user so time was an issue. My thoughts were that it may have been a familier issue in the BMW family of bikes. I have a GS911 that I purchased for my R1200GS but he did not have it with him.Oh well.
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Dave
