Not exactly 1200 related but is General Chatter. I just finished watching the movie "The World's Fastest Indian" with Anthony Hopkins. Maybe everyone has already seen it but this is the first time I have heard of it and what a great movie about a real adventure in the days before internet. If this is old news then my apologies but I think anyone with motorcycles in their blood would enjoy it immensely.
I got it from an Aussie and no one I have spoke with in the US knew the title so I thought I would put the title out there on the forum to see if it is popular globally or just down under. I am not a big forum guy but I am trying to get involved more as I am starting to enjoy reading more of them as I age. |

I downloaded this cool movie from iTunes for about $6.00. When traveling, especially via two wheels, I'll occasionally watch ol' Burt work the salt flats. What a great tale!

Quote:
The movie didn't exactly go into it, but it was poignant that the hard time the officials were giving Munro over his safety equipment, presumably at his first record in 1962, contrasted sharply with Free's "Speedo" run in 1948. As they were practically the same age, I like to think that Rollie had some influence over the outcome. ![]() JP |

Watching the movie made me miss riding my bikes in Colorado even more. I do get to ride a small electric scooter here in China which my boss says make me look like a migrant worker. I told him that is okay with me since I came from a small farm. Haha. Combustion engined bikes are technically banned where I work. Counting the days until I can ride again in Novemer. That movie is certainly a keeper!
