Default Trading F800ST for R1200GS

I have a very nice '08 F800ST that I have used for touring and commuting. But when the road becomes gravel the bike gets squirrely. And when the gravel becomes dirt I turn around. I don't want to do that anymore

Bob's BMW has a nice 2005 R1200GS with only 2,500 miles on it. I have it hold while they price out lowering with Ohlins shocks. It is a little tall for me. I test rode it. It was very smooth, stable, and just fun. But getting more foot on the ground would be good. Plus, I think I'll get a Touratech LDC X-low seat.

Yea, I pretty decided I going to do it. Just finishing up the deal. I am joining your ranks.

Hi!

Default welcome

I know what you mean, once you ride one you are hooked. I took my F650 GS to get it worked on, and took a test ride. Had to have one, and on bad thing is darn why didn't try one sooner. Hope you enjoy yours half as much as I do mine.

You will love it. I took a test ride on a used '08 at my local dealer and bought it. It was the first bike I had bought from him since i have been shopping there.

Hi!
You won't be disappointed in the ride. But, it's a bear to pick up! So, don't drop her! )

Well, I made the deal. Wednesday I'll deliver my trusted F800ST to them. Sign for the GS. Then I'll need a ride home

I'll leave the GS there to have the Ohlins 1" lower shocks and a Centech AP-1 fuse box installed. I ordered a Touratech LDC X-Low seat after trying another rider's. I'll keep the standard seat in the garage for a while. Maybe I will want to switch back. Maybe not. I can sell off the one I don't want later.

Meanwhile, they are calling for snow here this weekend. It is early this year. So, I'll get the bike just in time for winter. Guess I'll install the Gerbings heated clothes connector first My bikes don't sit through winter. Well, snow, ice, freezing rain, hail...this stuff makes take the truck

I am pretty excited.

If you see me around, you'll know it is me. The first owner had it painted Alpine White. It is BMW color but it was not offered on the GS. So, it is some waht unique. I am not cray about the color, don't hate it either. It looks kind of like an authority bike... hmm, that might have some advantages

Default It was YOU!!

Haha, I totally tried to call Bobs to buy this bike and to see if this one was still on hold, it looks like a solid bike for sure! Best of luck with it.. I ended up finding one in Manassas VA. Its a 2005 and it only had 300 miles on it!! The guy who had it before me was too short to ride it. Got it for 10k....

Wow! I thought 2500K was low miles. Good find indeed. Enjoy the ride.
