Hi everyone. I am a new 2011 R1200GS owner of about three months now and am loving the bike more every time I ride it. It is different to anything I have ridden before and I only wish I bought one years ago.
As there is no BMW agent where I live I am looking to purchase a GS 911 diagnostic unit and think the bluetooth option makes sense. Only problem is trying to find out which mobiles are JSR 82 compliant and which are not is almost impossible if you want information that is more current than 2009! I do know my iphone is not compatible but would like to know what mobile phone other GS911 owners are using, particularly if they are reasonably current models. Cheers |

you can read the codes with bluetooth but is my understanding you can not change things with your phone. would need to be connected to a lap top to make changes. I bought the lap top only version for that reason. The program might have been changed but getting that information from the website is a joke. I think they could have done a better job of explaining what you can do with it and how. It didn't come with instructions and so far I haven't found any.

What the unit can and can not do on the R1200GS (and other BMSK bikes):
bmsk ---- Hex code Note that the mobile version can not do any of the function tests. Also note that "Programming of control unit" is "Not Planned!" for any version. |
