Default My first GS1200

Hi guys, I have just ordered a new triple black and will own a GS for the first time in a fews days.

I was hoping to call on everyone's experience on what accessories I should put on straight away, and what to look out for, as in maintenance and running in. I have already ordered an oil cooler guard

In particular, I have a zuma 550 that I had on my Tiger 1050 and wish to fit to the GS. Can this be plugged into the harness?

Any help and tips would be appreciated.

cheers

Beers

Thanks guys, link is great, and not sure if the triple black comes with guards?
Quanto, think I'd better check the credit card balance, this could be expensive, but fun lol :-D

Cylinder head guards number 1 I went with the heavy duty plastic one advertised in BMW owners mag
Headlight guard held on with Velcro easy to remove and clean
Front fender extender
Miere racing makes a rear fender insert that protects, shock, spring and ESA from mudd crud

P3 lights in rear
Photon blasters in front
One off motor sports hid lights 35 watt 6000k hi/low

Ride it awhile if the BMW seat comfortable on long rides super, if not get a custom seat you won't regret it

JVB. Video on servicing your bike well worth the $25

To my eye, the quick clip looks like it would transfer bending forces into the bikes subframe as opposed to a cage that has some give and flexibility. Also cheaper and easier to replace/ repair /jury-rig should you really mash a bag up.

The first farkle I did was the engine valve cover guards (the BMW ones off of the Adventure), then the LED turn signals, then the HID lights. I didn't have to do the LED brake light as my bike already had that on it. I'm pretty much farkled out for the moment. Next purchase for the GS is a pair of Michelin Pilot 3 Trail tires.

Default My triple-black

I also have a triple black gs. I have added the Hepco becker crash bars, Sargent saddle(far better than stock), Aero-Flow wind screen from my 05 gs(having owned every gs since the R-80 this the best screen you can buy),and best investment you can make is a pair the Wilbers ec shocks they are worth every penny and make your gs handle like it's on a rail! holeshot.
