Haven't seen the "new" Haynes. I've the '04-'06 version. It is OK, but I find I don't look at it much, preferring the RepROM.
What coolrider said about the crush ring except he gave you the part number for the drain, not the fill plug. You can cut the one that's on the plug off and use a standard 18 mm crush ring. Or you can re-use the existing. I've done it both ways on the transmission fill given that it is above the resting oil level.
If my notes are correct the crush rings I use for engine and transmission oil change are:
07 11 9 963 252 Engine oil crush ring (16 mm)
07 11 9 963 200 Transmission oil drain crush ring (14 mm)
07 11 9 963 300 Transmission oil fill crush ring (18 mm)
That's for my '05. Hope I didn't get them backwards. Don't know if things have changed for newer models, either. Sizes are inside diameters.
