Default Can y tell me what's the difference between the GS1200AD andR 1200 GS RALLYE Alpine

I could only see the color and red frame difference between them.... Is there anything else??
Thanks

I have a Harley St.Glide and dying to trade for a GS1200 A, just waiting to take a test drive ... weather and work kept me at bay so far...
Thanks.

The two main variants of the GS are R1200GS (just called the GS) and the
R1200GSA (the Adventure). Is this what your question is about...their
differences?

It's a "special edition" of the standard GS. BMW does this every once in a while with the special edition getting some paint or feature not otherwise available. In this case the Rallye edition gets...
  • body parts painted in Alpine white
  • graphics in the BMW Motorrad Motorsports colours
  • fork slider tubes lined in black
  • engine lined in black
  • rear frame lined in Magma red
  • swingarm (Paralever) lined in Asphalt grey metallic
  • cylinder head covers in Granite grey metallic
  • seat in black and white
  • Enduro ESA
  • all chrome exhaust system
  • cross spoke wheels
  • heated grips
  • hand protectors in white
  • pannier holder
  • onboard computer

Most of that stuff is optional equipment that can be ordered on any GS. The Rallye makes it a package deal and throws in a different paint scheme.

So, does it mean also that the suspension and gear box is the same set up of GS instead of GSA??
Thanks

It is just a limited edition option package for the standard GS. It is not an adventure model.
