stock alarm and ASC - worth it?

Trying to narrow down which options do I want on a GSA. I am not sure about these two:

ASC - people who have it - do you find it useful / necessary / worth having?
I know that if I was buying a car I would want ESC - but I am not sure how effective it is on a bike?

BMW alarm - I would not mind having an alarm - and it may lower insurance premium, but is the BMW alarm good, or is it better to go with an aftermarket unit?

Some guys will tell you that ESC allows them to climb steep, slippery
hills that stop non-ESC bikes. Seems like I read it adds a little
eye-ball poppin to the ABS system.

Also sensing lateral tire slip seems to be on the horizon which
sounds pretty cool.
