My Centech AP1 is on the way, and I would like to see where/how you mounted yours. Is the tool tray the preferred location ? Pics are highly appreciated. TIA.

Mounted mine in document tray . . . pic quality is poor and to be honest not near as clean as the ones above. I have enough bags that I don't use small area under the seat and so far its seems to be a good location if you decide to do the same.
Hope it helps~ dc in DC http://bp0.blogger.com/_PtgH6YQZi6Y/...oad-770463.jpe |

That isn't mine. I ran across it on the Eastern Beaver site while buying electrical supplies. I assume it works fine since they have it featured on their install gallery page. I'd remove the document holder and velcro it to the airbox myself. I use the Touratech device pictured above.

When I bought my bike I noticed that under the seat there was a very large thin black O-ring dangling off a bit of metal above the battery, and nobody could tell me what it was for or why it was there and I was nervous that something had been mis-assembled.
But I see in Speedbump's picture what it seems to have been there for. Yes, I did get the manual and its' plastic sleeve & other documents with the bike but they were handed to me at the salesman's desk as he wanted to go over some things in it before turning me loose. Thanks for solving that mystery for me!

I mounted my Centeck to a piece of plastic I cut to fit in the tool tray (red):
![]() I attached it to the bottom side so it is under the red plastic piece: ![]() I still have room on top of the red cover for a tire repair kit. |
