Exclamation Zumo 660 and Google Maps

Hi all, can you load any of google maps onto a Garmin Zumo 660?

I paid $150 for lifetime map updates. That was a f... waste of money I can tell you. None of the maps were updated with anything new. Still don't show the new speed camera locations and new roads or road changes in major cities are not updated.

Plus, can you turn off the annoying voice that keeps telling you for a half a kilometer that a speed camera is ahead of you. It continually does this until you pass the camera. Stupid. I only ned to be told once not a dozen times.

Does anyone have any ideas.

Cheers

Ken

The garmin website has a pretty good FAQ section that has helped me through several issues.

As for the annoying voice announcements, pretend its your wife....you won't even hear them.

I know you can. I did it with my 450 Zumo. Basically make your trip in Google Maps then export them to file then copy them to your 660. I think you need to use BaseCamp free software on your Zumo to convert the file format. I did it, but can't recall the details. I just think it's probably easier on the 660 than the 450.

Google GMAPtoGPX. That's how I used to do it before getting good with MapSource. There might be a newer version of that program by now. It's been a couple of years...
