Good point. I suspect there's more truth in that than most folks realise. The temperature may be higher in Scotland but so is the relative humidity. So it often feels much colder than the simple figures suggest. Couple that with the windchill and our draughty old houses, plus the price of fuel and just about everything else....moving to Canada is a pretty cool....(sorry....

) idea.
Having said that, if we had the greenbacks and a Green Card, SWMBO and I would move to the Western USA tomorrow.
