Against any weather, which gave between Palermo and Trapani storms and winter temperatures, once again Sicily seems to be "an oasis of good weather" than the rest of Italy. Many friends who had given outright fearful of the weather conditions will be bitterly repent! Beautiful sunny day and looked crisp accept my awakening. At 09.30 at Baby Moon we are only two bikes ready for this beautiful walk on the road. After the usual coffee in the direction of Alcamo in the province of Trapani. Avoid the motorway and take the SS186 direction Poplar. The air is crisp but not cold. Cross the small hamlet of Monreale we head towards Partinico. The road is wonderful, full of twists and with a splendid view of the coast. We enjoy calmly curves and bends until you reach near the roundabout to take the SS113 up to Alcamo. Time seems to change and threatening Nuvolone blacks on the horizon not promise anything good. Recently arrived in town the situation changes radically and the sun returns to act as master. Parking their motorcycles in front of the imposing Castle of the Counts of Modica, a veritable fortress in the heart of the beautiful country. Built nel1350daifratelli Henry I and Richard III Chiaromonte, who had won the Peralta, Lords of Alcamo was recently restored. From the courtyard through the stairs, you can visit the interior of the castle, where they are custodians of interesting finds, in addition to the exhibitions of art and illustrative panels that tell the story. Ask for a brochure at the castle and the city of Turin. More info http://www.alcamo.tp-net.it/. After the visit we head towards Piazza Ciulla, the historic center of town with his beautiful mother church. A few hundred meters from the square other beautiful churches that deserve a visit. After a coffee we head to the motion. Here Massimo greets us as we continue our tour. A few kilometers from the country through a very panoramic we head towards the Reserve Oriented Monte Bonifato, a true oasis of green, with guided tours sites, including a lovely outdoor picnic. It 'a real discovery. At the first square, crossing a road in the middle of the wood it gets to second, where a path through acciottolato we reach the top of the mountain. And here another wonderful discovery, the ruins of the fourteenth century Castle of Ventimiglia and the Church of Our Lady of built in the'600 and incorporated into walls of the castle. From here the view is extraordinary. A pity that ruin the countryside there are huge repeaters, which contrast strongly with the territory. The silence is wonderful. A true oasis of peace to relax and take long walks, forgetting the chaos of the city. With regret we leave this place. On the road a few hundred yards on the left "The Funtanazza" the remains of an ancient cistern for water collection dating back to the Arab. Satisfied with the ongoing and pleasant surprises we head towards our ultimate goal, Castellammare del Golfo. It is lunchtime and then as the best opportunity for a beautiful rustic eaten before visiting the city. On the advice of a colleague, who would have to meet right on the spot, choose the Trattoria da Totò - Via Marconi, 121 tel. 092432769 small, rustic and very welcome. After a good meal based rustic salad and pasta with sardines, we are ready for a digestive walk! Castellammare del Golfo is a little jewel set between one of the most beautiful coastline of Sicily. Info http://www.castellammaredelgolfo.org/Turismo After visiting the church and the mother in moto cross streets of the picturesque old town, come on the seafront just under the majestic castle. The sea is an extraordinary clarity, you need to get a great bathroom. Local fishermen are busy in their small boats to repair their networks and is particularly interesting and fun to see them work. Unfortunately, the castle and its attachments museums are closed then there remains nothing but a visit along the outer perimeter of the walls. The castle was built in Arab-Norman and historical information and witnesses say that probably was part of a more important manor, said Calathamet (Castello dei Bagni) that stood on a rock called Al Hammah. The sky is clear and the sun heats up nicely. We relax lying along the ceiling of the port where in the meantime we have reached some friends in the car. I almost fall asleep, in observing small white clouds across the blue sky. It 'time to go. In the next
