If you have any questions about traveling the Baja pensulia please feel free to ask.,
My name is frank owner of N. V. Cycles in northern Ca. I have traveled the baja peninsula since 1989. I now own a 1200gsa and still put on rides to Cabo. I know the best places to stay and eat also I have learned about lots of fun things to do. We know how to set up a BMW gs what tools to take and what to carry along with you. Our experience covers the eastern side as well as the western side of the pensulia. If your looking for anything special please ask. September of 010 we will be putting on a northern Baja dual sport ride starting in San Diego and going as far south as Bay of LA. If no one goes on the dual sport ride I will be putting on a ride to Cabo San Lucas. Places we will stay will be Ensenada, San Quintin, Bahia de Los Angeles, San Ignacio, Mulege, Loreto. Cabo, Los Barriles, La Paz, and Catavina. Riding in Baja will average 200 to 240 miles per day so that when you arrive you have plenty of time to walk around town to see things. In Cabo and La Paz we will take a couple of days off and relax and have a good time. If we do the Cabo ride it will be 18 days total, we will leave from Chico Ca. ride to the base of the grapevine and the next day on to Ensenada. I do not charge for the trip, it is all about having fun, good food and enjoyment. First night in Baja will be at the hotel Coral just north of Ensenada. Passports are needed and I suggest Mexican insurance which we will acquire before leaving on the trip to get the best deal.If you would like to get a better idea of the trip send me a AAA map of Baja and I will mark out each town per day and then send it back. My address is 2590 cohasset Rd. Chico, Ca. 95973 address it to North Valley Cycles, thanks. From Ensenada we will go to Catavina about 230 miles, then onto San Ignacio, about 233miles, then on to Mulege for lunch, best fish tacos ever finishing our day in Loreto. Leaving Loreto, will pass on through C. D. Constitution to La Paz for lunch then Todos Santos for a cold beer then on to Cabo where we will stay at Tesoro which is on the marina and within walking distance for everything we will spend two or three nights depending on what people want. More info to come. Oh by the way a mask fins and snorkel would be some fun things to take. To continue on if anyone wants to ride on easy dirt roads the road to Cabo Pulmo is fun and it is on the lower coast road. Their we would stay in a cassita house by the beach. This village is very small but quite and peaceful. Any BMW will not have any gas issues as far as octaine or distance. We are probably going on a short Baja trip in Feb. It will be 10 days. We will leave Chico Ca. and drive to San Diego and stay at a Best Western leave our trucks and trailers and take off the next day. We will stay in San Quintin, Bay of LA, San Ignacio, Loreto, Mulege, Catavina, and Ensenada. Call me if you wish to go and Ican answer any questions. 530 3430636.
