09.30 am Baby Moon. Sunny day but a little 'cup. After the inevitable coffee leave the city to head towards the Plain of the Albanians, along the lake. The wind blowing over the fields, create wave effects and culture. The fields around seem to come alive and move in any direction. On the way we meet the cyclists with whom we talk. Let's quickly turning for Ficuzza, Corleone and Prizzi on SS118 and Filaga before the intersection turn left onto the SS188. The wind has calmed down slightly, however it is absolutely difficult for driving. The landscape opens up large areas, many of which were recently cut. Air pungent smell fresh cut grass. After a few miles we put on the SP 36, the road is particularly beautiful and charming, full of curves and a beautiful view. In short we reach Castronovo di Sicilia http://www.comune.castronovodisicili...smo/monumenti/ where we climb the hill in San Vitale. Here the remains of two ancient castles of Arab and Norman churches of Our Lady of the hearing and the Just Judge of the twelfth and fifteenth century. The panorama from the hill is sublime. From one side the valley and the other the whole town. Luxuriant vegetation covers the entire area. Just below the church of San Vitale. Shooting the bikes go down to visit the Mother Church, which stands where there was once a Norman castle was built by Count Roger. Of this there are only two towers, one of which turned into a belfry. About it is possible to observe the ancient records showing the date of 1098. Expect it to end the celebration of Mass to visit the interior of the church. Shooting the bikes do a fast lap for the ancient city street and its ancient fountains, especially the Royal Source 1567. It 'time for lunch and our table Agriturismo Source Refalzafi is waiting! From SP 48 http://www.agriturismosorgenterefalz.../contatti.html reach their destination after about 7 km from the center. One after another, we buy up local delicacies, including several appetizers, two first, three seconds, fruit and wonderful cassatelle hot chocolate with cheese and mouth-watering! The company is excellent and the time passes quickly between chatter and laughter. After a double mocha, we share through SP48 until you reach the lake Fanaco. The scenery is superb, the way beautiful. We park the bikes and we make a good walk through the fields until reaching the shores of the lake. Colors around are wonderful, the blue sky, the red fields in bloom, blue green water of the lake. From SP 48, continue to the SP 26 until you reach the junction for St Stephen Quisquina. From here we head through the SP 24 to the Nature Reserve of Cammarata Forest, skirting the reserve, along an exciting path. Once in town Cammarata we stop for coffee and then through San Giovanni Gemini and get on the freeway to Palermo, where the last 90 km separate us from home. The sun now low, sheds light beautiful mountains and fields along the road, giving us once again of beautiful emotions. The next
