Trip with Daughter

I had been previously registered here but it seemed to disappear so I re-registered. My politics don't line up very well with a couple of the mods over at advrider so I suffered a perma-ban. My Alaska trip report and my unfinished Baja report are over there.

My daughter and I are hopping on the Adventure next Thursday, leaving our home in eastern WA and heading north via the backroads. We are going to take the northerly route across Montana since we haven't taken that route before. We then plan to head south through the Dakota's, into Nebraska, cut over to Colorado and cross Colorado east to west and head into Utah and the Moab area. From there we'll pick our way home, trying to take routes that we haven't previously taken. Any scenic route suggestions for crossing Colorado would be really appreciated.

When we get back I will post a few pics of the trip. With kids sports schedules and such it's been too long since I've taken a trip of any duration so I'm really looking forward to this one. Just did a service on the bike a coupe of days ago, engine oil, valves, new plugs and air filter, new brake fluid, etc.
