Trip ideas

I'm new to this forum and in looking for some ideas. I have a 2016 R1200GS adventure and next spring/summer I plan on taking about seven days to do a solo ride. I am looking for ideas of places to visit in Colorado and or Utah area. Just for reference, I do live in the Denver metro area. When traveling, I want to incorporate a couple of nights of camping in either disbursed or non-dispersed camping areas. Any suggestions of some cool things to see would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

welcome to the forum.

first, have you ridden your home state yet? If not, you're in a wonderland. Just look at the map, look for squiggly lines and go for it. Plenty for 7 days.
If you have ridden Colo, then you can venture over to Utah. The Vernal to Moab corridor, La sal Mtns, along the Colorado river, Flaming Gorge, all doable. Go through Paradox Valley to get there.
Are you doing pavement or dirt?

Also, look at motorcycleroads.us for ideas as well as the regional forums on advrider.com. Look at ride reports for Colorado and Utah. I am no longer a camper, but you could easily do three days of day rides out of Moab, while basing in a motel.
