Default Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest

Three riders, two on airhead GS and me on a hexhead, went camping near the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest east of Bishop, Ca. Full trip report at http://www.snafu.org/smbc/trips/2010/0813-camping/

This was part of day 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fylrOdKpYCM

I have driven the first pass. Incedible road.
The second day looked the most fun to me.

Yep. Lots of fun. It's why I try to schedule 3 days for most "weekend" outings. One day to get there, one day to have fun, and the last day to get home. In two weeks the destination will be Sequoia National Park.
