That looks like a good ride. You will probably learn to love that skid plate a lot more as you do more off-road. I keep hitting mine on rocks and logs. You might even want to upgrade the plate. I nearly pierced my oil filter with a stick when it lodged itself through one of the holes on one ride.

By the way, that was a very nice V65 as well.

Thanks. Owning that bike was a fun experience - I always wanted one and it was like re-living my younger years. With that being said, however, it was sometimes frustrating as parts are getting harder to come by.. Water pump went out and it was pretty difficult to get a used one that still worked, since Honda isn't making new ones any longer.

The only thing I REALLY miss about the V65 is the exhaust note. Just LOVED the sound it made.

Owning a newer bike is so much easier.. and especially the GS, as I'm not so concerned about keeping it super clean! ;-)

Nice photos and ride story. When you make the off road part of the Lost Coast go in a group. The pot growers don't like stranger so watch your back.
