January 8th in the Canadian Rockies?

I rode from Calgary to Canmore, AB and back yesterday. It was a fantastic ride!

It seems hard to believe because of insufficient pictures you put.

Almost a month later and we did the same run again today. It was cooler this time with temperatures ranging anywhere from +7 to -6 C.

The 1A highway west of Calgary was clear and dry for the most part, but there were sections in the trees that were still frosty (on the way out) or wet (on the way back).

No photos to share from today's ride, but I'll see if I can get another photo or two of last month's ride from my riding buddy .

This part of the world has a strange climate. My home town, Calgary, had +13C for a yesterday, but only a couple of weeks ago the the daily highs were around the mid -30C mark. We've had very little snow here this winter and the farmers in the area are already concerned with the lack of moisture and what effect it will have on the spring planting and growing season.
