BMW R1200GS HP2

The all new BMW R1200GS HP2 has been announced in Munich for the German market. The final MSRP has not been established, but will assuredly be significantly higher than the base model R1200GS as it is a competition model to be produced in strictly limited numbers.

Production will begin in July, 2005, with the world-wide market launch planned for Fall, on a strictly limited basis.

The HP2 will be competing in a series of European Cross Country races in Germany, Austria and Italy -- and at events elsewhere including North America (Hello? Jimmy Lewis?). As more information becomes available it will appear on the BMW Motorrad USA Website.
