Posted my update above before I saw your post...WTF?!? Calling my dealer today.
Update: Talked to Bob's and the Service Adviser indicated that they knew about the service bulletin...WTF! (again). New frame is on order, but plan on having a chat with the Service Manager when I go to have the frame mounted. Conversation will go something like..."So you told me this was a lock problem, not covered by warranty and felt the need to charge me for a "Macgyver" fix; but didn't feel the need to tell me about the service bulletin and the potential mounting frame issue...kindly explain please." Total BS in my mind.
I'm pretty sure Chris will be interested in your issue and take care of you. If this isn't true, Bob will be very interested!
