Shoei Neotec 2 versus Schuberth C3 Pro

So I was using the Shoei Neotec 2 for about 9 months now Size Large.......been a fantastic helmet, quieter than the Neotec 1 and much better interiors. The only issue i was having is that since the Neotec 2 has a longer nose, in a weird way it was blocking my view of the Dashboard. Was annoying me.....I know I know Im sad...but I like to see the dash in my soft vision.
So I went ahead and ordered a Schuberth C3 Pro.
When the helmet arrived i was shocked, its tiny compared to the Neotec 2.
A note on fitment....The C3 Pro Large a tad tighter than the Large Shoei Neotec 2.
So at the moment its fitting very snug, went for a few hour ride today to break it in. The Neotec 2 vents much better and feels roomier than the C3 Pro
But....Boy.....I used to think the Neotec 2 is quiet.....the C3 Pro is quiet to the next level.....amazing!!
A note on build qualty...honestly the Neotec 2 seems a much better made helmet....I mean its got a much "Richer" feel to it.
Also the C3 Pro felt much lighter in the hand and on the head!
Am loving it.....

Been wearing a C3 Pro since early 2014 and I really do like it.
I am in the market for a new helmet and tried the Neotec II on yesterday at my local dealer and was surprised how similar it felt to the C3 Pro in fit. The only draw back for me, is I use the BMW COMM System in my C3 Pro and want to continue using it unless its absolutely necessary to switch comm systems. According to the tech at my local shop the quietness is separated by a few db's?
Tried the Schuberth E1 on also, which is basically a C3 Pro with a beak. Wasn't impressed with the beak though, seemed flimsy and wobbly. After I got home I watched numerous reviews and it seems to be the consensus. Great helmet, bad beak.

What you should also consider is the weight difference between the two helmets.

On a long ride the heavier helmet might fatigue your neck.

virkdoc,

Does the white colored Shuberth really come with that blue air flow adjustment knob?
Curious since that will probably be my next color.

So much depends on fit. I went with the C3Pro in 2013 with my K1600 and honestly, never cared for it. It took a few years to realize that my head is not Schuberth shaped. Switched to the Neotec 2 last year and it is perfect for me.

Blue eye so with this experience I have concluded there are 3 head shapes:
1) Shoei Head
2) Schuberth Head
3) Head shape which really is ok with both helmets

Schuberth Large is SNUG as compared to Shoei Large!!

It was the same with me. Schuberth did not fit my head. Shoei does. The Shoei Neotec 2 is the most comfortable helmet I've ever had in the last 50 years. Noise is irreverent as I use custom made earplugs. ($60. at the Long Beach motorcycle show)

As Im using the Schuberth more to break it in another thing is that the visor is extremely large......you get more field of view!
