Changing shock springs

For my height and weight the sports suspension on my 1250 GS HP is too soft—high mode and dynamic the only setting useable. The auto mode is a great idea for the majority but unfortunately it doesn’t work for me. Rather than replace the suspension with an after market Touratech, has any one changed just the springs? Will it mess with the ESA?
