Gear box seal burnt out?
My 2006 R1200GS has just been diagnosed needing new Gear box seal, crank seal and new clutch. £1500! It’s done 19000 miles and very few in the last year as I work abroad. BMW tell me it might be caused by the low mileage and the seals drying out and then burning up when I sett the engine. Really? Anyone heard of this before? Thank you for anything that makes me feel better about my poor bike.
