Talking Broken Windshield Slide Arm

2019 R1250GS Adventure:

I had a tip over on the trail today. BOTH the windshield slide arms (supports on the bottom of the windshield assembly) were broken. The arms are plastic and have rings that slide up and down small metal shafts underneath.

How do I replace them without going to the dealership? I have searched in forums and online for parts, but can't seem to find any.

I don't think a third party "stabilizer" that are mentioned in the threads will help if those arms are broken. Maybe a 3rd party part does replace these. Any guidance?

Thanks!

óBruce

There are parts fiche at https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/partsfiche.aspx and http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select?vin=Z667544. I do not think they have the 1250 listed yet but the windshield support system is probably the same as on the LC 1200s. Take a look and you may be able to tell if they have what you need.

Thank you @Pterodactyl

I have that site now bookmarked. I found the part:
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=46_1538

And then had to search where to go purchase and found it here:
BMW ARM FOR WINDSHIELD ADJUSTER, Part # 46638524932
https://www.bikebandit.com/oem-parts...24932/b3201196

$32 for each side. (Yikes, its plastic).

Before I purchase, anyone out there know if a 3rd party option (stabilizer or otherwise) is out there that replaces this assembly for strength? The tip over wasn't all that violent... rather tame. This will probably happen again.

Thanks all!
