Moving Altrider Left Lower Crash Bar Top Front Mount From Inside to Outside of Frame

I have a 2014 1200 GSW with Altrider Upper, Lower Crash Bars & skid plate on my bike.

I'm considering adding the MAM cylinder covers and am deciding on whether or not to move the top front mount of the lower bars to the outside of the frame to allow more cylinder head clearance.
It is currently mounted to the inside of the frame, thus having the crash bar very close to the left cylinder head cover.

Has anyone moved the left lower crash bar top front mount to the outside of the frame?
Were there any issues attaching the rest of the mounting bolts?
If you were successful, do you have any tips to share.
