I own a 2010 GS. I purchased the Saddlemen Adventure Tour saddle about two years ago. Since that time I've logged about 20,000 on trips around the country. The seat has held up well, no scratches leaking or tearing. The seat pan, staples and mounting hardware is better than OEM. The overall build quality is good.
Very comfortable; although I can't ride discomfort-free as long as I can on the Russell day long saddle on my other bike. The gel seems to work well, although I don't leave it uncovered if the bike is parked in the hot sun. On the other side, in really cold weather the gel doesn't seem to harden up as with other gel seats. For an off-the-shelf seat I would give it five stars, especially if you don't do a lot of long distance riding.
Whatever you do, make SURE you cover the seat in direct sun if you are going to leave it there more than a few minutes. REPEAT, you will have a uncomfortable ride if you don't keep the seat out of the sun.
You have been warned!
old thread.. but why? I am considering buying one for my GSA.
