When buying tires I will check the mfr. date on the tire, which is on every tire, before mounting the tire or finalizing the sale. Tires can sit on racks for years. I want a tire that is no older than 1 year from date of manufacture.

Yes southpaw was a fresh tire and purchased from Chaparral Motorsport! have bought lots of tires from them in the past also.
