It even hauls my bikes in the short bed version:

I originally looked at the 6.5' bed models but the back cab area of the F150 sold me - it's got a completely flat floor and the seats fold up and make a huge storage area inside the cab. I'd rather take this truck on a road trip than our X5. It's the ecoboost 3.5, 10-speed tranny.

Nice F-150.
I had a 2014 1500, my new Chevy has the 6.2L with an 8-speed, my 2014 had the 6.2L with the 6-speed, I bet the 10-speed is nice, GM gets that exact same trans 2018/2019.

I understand that tranny is a joint development with GM and they're putting in some Camaros this year and the trucks starting next year. It was probably wise to wait a year and see what kind of experience Ford had with it. The F-150 forum has a number of threads about it. Mine's been flawless, well, except for the fit and finish on it. I'm not particularly happy with the seam alignment and the paint quality. Even the door panels have some distortion around the handles. I pointed this out to the body shop at my Ford dealer and the manager took me out to the lot of new trucks and showed me all and poor fitment FMC is delivering on some of these new aluminum body trucks. Mine's not terrible and you wouldn't see it unless I pointed it out to you but still, I'm used to better build quality from the BMW and Lexus cars I've been driving. I do love the tech in this truck. It's not far from a self driving vehicle.

Wife mostly drives the Prius like a bat out of heck. (It's surprisingly peppy, so the issue is obviously the driver, not the car!)

I have a 2012 RAV4 with the 3.5L V6 engine. They don't offer it with the six anymore. Rumor has it the V6 RAV was faster off the line as well as at top end than their little sports car...and they couldn't have that!

I've got a GTI and a VW Alltrack for the wife after the Forester's CVT went tits up after 6 months of ownership. Man I hated that thing. Subaru claimed "they'd never heard of that problem." So why are the repair parts on a 6 month back order Chief?

Previous car was a MINI. MINI will kiss your ass during warranty, when the warranty is over they want you to kiss their ass. Wasn't too keen on that so I got rid of it.

Regret getting rid of the Miata. Wife didn't, but the GS has enough "trunk" space in comparison. She generally flies off the handle about anything with wheels. I'm thinking an old Z3 once I do more research on it. It'll take a year to warm her up on another car. I'd hate to part with the GTI, and two of my three garages are packed with the GTI and three motorcycles.
