I grew-up in the flight path of Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach. My dad was stationed at Fort Story between tours in Korea and then retired there. Spent more than one evening in the parking lot of the outside the fence Class VI store getting young sailors to buy us beer. We were uniformly successful.
My first time at NAS Oceana was the last time that I saw an F-14 fly (sad), my oldest brother flew them and the Navy was retiring the birds. Class VI Store brings back memories, as long as I have been in the Navy we usually call it the Package Store and no longer any kids hanging out asking for us to buy them beer, they're too busy indoors playing X-Box.

Works great at highway speeds too!
Do the same on my GTLE, then you can take it off and store it.
I wasn't advocating attaching a transponder to your helmet as it looks silly as hell, your way sounds much better.

I painted my EZPass black so it is more stealthy and less unsightly and used their plastic velcro to attach to the inside of my windscreen (see pic)

In this day & age I would not worry about theft of the thing but if you are just take it with you when you go
