Attaching Photos from an Apple Computer

Drag photo from Photo Application to your desktop.

Click on desktop version then click on Tools in the upper Tool Bar

Click on Adjust Size

The Tool Box will show you Width, Height and Current Size. Leave Scale Proportionally and Resample image checked.

Adjust either Width or Height and when sampled the new size will display in the tool box. At least 600kb works for a .jpeg image.

Drag resized desktop image to the proper slot in your in process posting to the forum and good to go.

The resized (smaller) image on your desktop may be dragged to the trash and the original full size remains in your Photo Application.

Hope this helps? You Windistas need to sort things out separately........

photos in classifieds on a Mac

I dragged the photo to iMac desktop. I click on the desktop version. The finder menu appears at the top of the desktop. Where do I find "Tools" ?

Ahhh.... Once you have a copy on your desktop, double click it to full size (I left that out). Preview Will come up in the top menu bar with Tools to the right. Click on Tools and click on adjust size. If you change height to say, 50, with maintain proportions checked, it will auto fill width and yield a .jpeg of less than 600kb for your desktop copy which can then be dragged into the post. It takes a minute or so to process but will display the new size in the Tools box. 600kb will post but may still be too big for your preference........

This is just a copy so when you are finished you can drag the reduced size copy to trash and still maintain the original.

Lemme know if it works?

Cutting bush all day on a steep slope, pardon the scary portrait. This was 164kb. The photo doesn't show in the post until you give it a minute and Preview Post.
