Thanks! Yes I’ve done just that and he was very responsive.

Short is that it may or may not happen. Priority seems to be given to the diagnostic features more so than usability of the live data... :-(

We can always hope... :-)

Hi JetSpeed, I decided to get motoscan app instead of the Gs911 after reading this post. Do I need to buy the 10pin cable for my GS17.5 or just the MX?

I have the LX scanner and it works fine on my 17.5 GS which has a standard OBD2 style connector - so you do NOT need the extra pigtail connector.

I use the Obdlink LX with Motoscan on an Old Samsung Tab 7 for most of my wrenching work either on my bike or friends. So far it's been great piece of tool, reset service, diagnostic and clearing fault codes without problem.
This has been a viable alternative to the more expensive diagnostic kit that is limited to 10 VIN for enthusiast. Has done reset service on K51, K25 bikes and F800GS without problem.

I also have a Konnwei OBD II adapter for simple diagnostic, but it can't reset the service reminder or changing the due date. all else it can do.

I recommend go for the Bluetooth OBD unit, because you will have wifi to connect to your network and update the Firmware on LX unit to make it work with Motoscan on Beemer bikes.

Obdlink LX is from Obdlink Shop at AliExpress - $59.00
Adapter cable from AliExpress - $10.00
Motoscan Ultimate - Google Play.

Reporting another success story using Motoscan app with OBDLink MX.
I already owned OBDLink MX for several years to scan my Toyotas.
I upgraded its firmware and then paired with the Motoscan Ultimate to reset the service
reminder on my 2017 GS. Worked well with no drama.

I know it's a bit old but can you describe the procedure to perform the ABS bleeding? GS911 has detailed steps but I'm not sure it's applicable with Motoscan app. Thanks.

It works to ID tire pressure sensors, learn the sensors if changed, etc. It also has full functionality for live data streaming of all the available data parameters produced by the bike's computer. Obviously reading and clearing fault codes is a main function. The app interface is simple and intuitive and runs beautifully on my Android phone. I've not tried it running on the iPad/apple yet.
