R1250GS Seat selection

Hi, I on my way to buy the new R1250 GS Exclusive and I'm wondering which seat to select. Does anyone have experienced the comfort seat VS the standard seat?

Thanks!

A friend of mine just purchased a new GS he went with the comfort seat because it was a two piece seat like previous models instead of the single seat design.

Doesn't matter. I don't think your bottom will like either seat. I ended up with a Sargent.
enzo5000 and LAS like this.

Tried several brands and settled on Sargents!

I have the standard on my R1250 exclusive and it is fine. Had the same on my R1200 triple black. However, the answer to these questions is always very personal and very from person to person, depend on your weight, riding style and other form factors best not described here 😉

Did you try Airhawks? My hips are not supported by anything stock so looking for the widest seat possible.

I agree that the Sargent seat is the most comforatble for all day touring. The shape and 16" width at the back is the most generous I've found.

On my GSA I tried an airhawk and an alaska leather before I ended up with a Sargent seat.
Just couldn't get comfortable with the stock seat.
Airhawk and Alaska worked for a few miles, but not any sort of distance.
I had a Sargent on my GS also.
Sargent makes a great seat.
