It's rare that a throttle body sensor goes bad. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

That's not the only thing to worry about. The bike has less than 4k miles on it and it had been to the dealer 4 times already. How am I not supposed to worry about this stuff on a long trip?

Semper Fidelis (Always Faithful) is the motto of the Corps. That Marines have lived up to this motto is proved by the fact that there has never been a mutiny, or even the thought of one, among U.S. Marines.

Remind yourself your not going on the Road of Bones, it's the freaking USA. A tow vehicle is just a call away and parts can get overnighted. I've biked in over 30 countries, has the bike failed me a time or two, you bet, yet here I sit in my casa. If you want safe, go to Disneyland. It's supposed to be an adventure to ride to AK, relax and enjoy the trip. : )
Southpaw, Crucian and goethe like this.

Picked the bike up from the dealer and everything was fine..... Next day light was back on and bike is back to running funny.
