2013 bmw r1200 gs triple black body style different?

Hey all! I just picked up my first 1200 gs. It is a 2013 triple black. The body style seems to be that of a 2012 and not of a 2013. I was thinking it was listed wrong when I bought it but it clearly says on the title that itís a 2013, checked the vin and all. Just wondering if anyone had any input on this?Name: IMG_3211.jpg

The early 2013's were 2012 carryovers. For some reason BMW made the changes in mid model year.

It looks like you have the old body style and oil-cooled motor, not the new liquid-cooled motor that came later in the year.

Last of the good ones

Hang on to it. It's the last of the air/oil cooled engines, they went to the liquid cooled engines in 2013, the swing arm is on the opposite side of the bike from 13 onwards, i don't think one single part of the bike was carried over to the new model.
I have hung on to my 2010, which has just hit 100000 km. It's had one set of brake pads changed at 70k, it has not needed any valve shims changed since i did them at 30k, and still has the original alternator belt on it.
It will get a full 100k service done this weekend.

I coincidentally walked into the World Press-release of the 2013 R1200GS and F700GS in Southern Cape, South Africa on the 23rd January 2013, the Bikes were only released to the public about two months later, so I can honestly say there should be a lot of Air cooled 2013 out there, here are some pics I took on the day, on a sad note, one of the journalists died a few hours after I took these pics on one of the press bikes

when chasing aftermarket parts for my 2013 i always designate 2013 LC to differentiate it from the 2013 OC

OEM parts, the parts guy always asks for the Vin number anyway,so no confusion......but he has my bike in the system now(i needed a spare ignition key)

Last of the oil heads and 2012 I thought but maybe carried over to 2013 in some markets. Great bike either way and the very bike I was trying to buy before the dealer talked me into a 1250 GS HP. Frankly wish I stayed the course. Enjoy the ride.

2013 triple black

Just picked up the same bike with 1800 miles on it, last of the best

When I saw the add I thought it was a fluke but they did carry over into 2013

Love the bike and the color.
