Questions from a new shopper

Relatively new to the forum....thanks for having me.

Trying to decide whether to add a second bike to my stable or trade my Harley in and pick up a new GSA. If I add, I'd buy used. Seems like there are lots of good deals out there right now. I'm currently riding a 2019 HD Softail Heritage Classic. While I really like the bike which does so many things well I really miss have a GS. I've had an '08 GS and a '12 GSA and am considering a return to the boxer motor.

Couple questions.....

When can I expect to see the new models/colors for the GS and GSA models? When does BMW generally release that info?

Are the seats interchangeable? Can I take a used low seat from a 2015 (for example) GS and put it on a 2019 model year GSA?

Thanks in advance for the responses,

Test ride the GS/A and then decide. A lot of guys add a GS/A and then the Harley sits and gathers dust.

As far as the seat goes, GS to GS should be ok not sure about GS to GSA.

Website for BMW updates depending on how many of the current model year are out there. Usually start seeing new models in late August.

After riding my new GSA on and off road, I was planning on taking the harley across country. Road the harley limited for an hour and found it sluggish and boring...never thought that would happen.

Surely, in the US, describing a Harley as "sluggish and boring" is a capital offence????

Maybe sacrilege...but not likely a capital offense depending on where you ride. LOL

In all sincerity, my Heritage with the 114 is anything but sluggish. It's not a sport bike but it scoots along pretty well and has a lot of torque up top for passing when one needs to. I'm anxious to see what changes they make to the touring line for 2020.

X-HD rider here.

If you can keep both do it.

I do miss the HD when I want to just chug along the secondary paved roads, listening to music, chewing on a cigar and watching the corn grow.

Riding "Sir Falls Downalot"

A wish is a desire without an attempt.

Mission Accomplished

Traded in the HD after my test ride. No comparison at all. I think I'm going to love this thing.

I think the pic may be life-sized. LOL
