What are you using for side tank pads?

I'd like to find something that not only looks well, but works well to give extra grip on the side of the tank with my knees.

Riding the new 2019 GSA

Thanks in advance.

Me too! (can I say that anymore without someone thinking that Iíve been sexually abused?). There is a European company that has made clear tank pads for GSs, but last I found it, they hadnít made a set for the 1250.

Wunderlich make black rubber knee pads for the R1250GS. Prevents the paint from being scratched/worn. So good it looks like a BMW standard item.
Doesn't currently appear to available for the GS Adventure.

Sorry, not much help but might be for those with a GS.

I used the TechSpec tank pads on my '17 GSA, but nothing to indicate that it will fit on the '19. I'll wait until they update either the product or the website...

The Wunderlich pads are excellent, they are made by a small outfit, CSS. I have had a set on my 2000 R1150GS since new. I tried a pair on my 2018 R1200GS but they covered up parts of the huge "GS" decals. I sent them back pending either removing the decals or finding another solution.

It was hard for me to find a set that fit on the tank where my knees are so I bought a set that I could custom make.

Might be worth a look to see what this UK based outfit do for the 1250. I've got these and the tank pad on my 18 Rallye. They aren't clear but have the OEM decal embossed in the pads. I was a bit apprehensive that lining them up exactly with the existing decal would be a challenge but in reality it was pretty simple and the colour match is good.
