Lightbulb Would NOT START in NEUTRAL

Gentlemen - ref: 2005 R1200GS w/33k miles
few weeks ago i noticed the NEUTRAL light were coming on and off intermittent while riding,,, though was odd. Then this weekend when I tried to start it in Neutral, it just ignore the Start switch command and does not respond. After several unsuccessful attempts y decided to put it in gear and try (with clutch of course) and it did start. NEUTRAL light does not comes on even on neutral.

Is that a sensor or contact that needs to be cleaned or replaced? Any ideas ??
Need help..

Thanks !
