Cradle wiring

Hi, I have just bought a 4 button cradle so I can use the nav 5 on my other bike,
It has 2 plugs on it.
The 3 wire plug has red & black that I presume are pos and neg, the purple not used
The other plug Iíve read is not used as itís for the wizz wheel on a bmw

My dilemma is I have connected the red and black wires to the battery and it shows the nav charging but canít seem to find how to get the nav to turn on.
Any one help?

Thanks

Theres old pilots and theres bold pilots but not many old bold pilots

Ok Iím a prize knob. The battery indication was because the battery in the nav was flat. It came to life a few minutes later, problem solved
