Hostile Ladakh a bikers dream!

Guys
Ladakh is a region in the himalayas and worth a trip once in a lifetime. We do it twice a year.....this place just calls you back everytime! Yes Acute Mountain Sickness will trouble some but what the hell!
Its amazing to see how a big bike like the beemer loses power at 19000 feet(5700m). Its like one cylinder shut down and the elephant just wont move! The landscape changes from lush green to desert as we climb.
Attaching a few pics for you all to enjoy.

What are you guys running for tires? What's your mileage you expect riding in those varied conditions? Is this something you would be willing to guide others on?

And like the last poster, is it possible to rent a beemer an do this ride?

Excellent photos of that countryside

I was running the Shinko 705, another beemer was on Metzler Tourance, the Africa Twin was on Karoo 3, tigers were on Metzlers also!
Not possible to rent beemers but people rent Royal enfields 500 or the Royal Enfield himalayans
As we go higher the mileage increases...... above in the passes all abpbe 15000 feet the mileage was 65-66mpg

Fantastic pics! I travel to India often to do medical volunteer work in Punjab. You've planted a seed in my brain to combine that with a bike trip in the Himalayas. Thanks for the posts!
